The competition is a fun and challenging opportunity for students to test their engineering skills and experience the planning, problem solving and team work required for a career in engineering. This year competition is open for all Civil Engineering students (and first year students) who are selected only from internal competitions of University of Peradeniya, University of Ruhuna and University of Moratuwa.  Maximum number of members for a group is six.

A spaghetti bridge is a small scale model bridge (architectural model) made of spaghetti. Each bridge will be loaded by a member from the group that built the bridge. During the competition, bridges will be loaded until failure. Bridges will be graded by the ratio of maximum load to the weight of the bridge. Awards will be presented for the groups presenting top three bridges.
